Feds Home But State Working

Most Missouri government employees have been able to laugh at the federal government shut-down today that's cost many federal workers in the state their jobs. Shalini Bhatnagar reports from the State Capitol:

Most of Missouri's STATE agencies say the federal shutdown is not affecting their operations. One of biggest impacts was on the state Labor Department which gets most of it's money from the feds. The state agency had to lay off ten workers and close its St. Louis office. The department continues to process unemployment checks. But state Labor Department Director Sandra Moore says that could change if the federal shutdown continues into next month: Actuality:Sandra Moore, Director, Dept. of Labor
