Impaired Drivers

A Missouri member of the Alzheimer's Association encouraged lawmakers to take away the license of impaired drivers. Mary Jackson has the story from the state capitol.

A house bill would give family members of impaired drivers more power to keep the disabled member off the road.

Penny Brown is the Executive Director of the Mid-Missouri chapter of the Alzheimer's Association.

She said everyone should be concerned about having incompetent drivers on the road.

Contents: We're all concerned about taking away freedom but at the same time if someone drives over your child I doubt if you'd be sympathetic.

The bill encourages physicians and family members to report an impaired driver without any legal responsibility.
