Carnahan Does Not Support Senate Desegregation Bill

Governor Carnahan says he still doesn't like the desegregation bill narrowly passed by the Senate Education Committee Wednesday. Tristin Yeager reports from the state capitol.

Carnahan says the desegregation bill ought to pass this session, but that he can't sign on to the current version.

Carnahan says the bill should provide additional support for the St. Louis and Kansas City schools but the bill should not cost more than the state is currently spending on desegregation.

Carnahan says he wants to pass a desegregation bill but adds the cost of the bill is still a problem.
