Governor candidates accept huge campaign contributions

Both major party candidates for governor have accepted huge campaign contributions. Stacy Covitz has the story from Jefferson City.

Republican candidate Jim Talent has accepted over 100 thousand dollars from a Missouri bedspring manufacturer.

Demorcratic candidate Bob Holden accepted 10 thousand dollars each from two local unions.

Holden spokesman Rich Martin says Holden supports the old Missouri law limiting campaign contributions.

Contents: It was only after Talent blew through the limit that Holden decided he owed it to his supporters to take large contributions himself.
