Creation of DNA bank for genetic profiling in Senate

The Missouri Senate passed an amendment creating a DNA bank for genetic profiling of criminals.

The amendment requires convicted sex offenders and violent felons within Missouri to provide a DNA sample to the state.

Currently convicted individuals must also submit DNA samples under the amendment.

Republican Senator Larry Rohrbach says DNA evidence has become increasingly helpful in determining guilt or innocence.
