The House added a provision onto the tobacco bill that would ban the use of minors in undercover sting operations

The Missouri House added yet another provision onto the tobacco regulation bill. Jessica Carter reports from Jefferson City.

The latest provision bans the use of minors in sting operations to bust stores that illegally sell tobacco to minors. It would not go into effect until July of next year.

Columbia Representative Vicky Riback Wilson, who proposed the date extension, says the ban could cause Missouri to lose nine point six million dollars in federal funding to treat drug addiction.
