Secretary of State Asks for Five Million

Missouri's Secretary of State asks for five million dollars to reform the state's election system. Karyn Dest reports from Jefferson City.

Secretary of State Matt Blunt is asking for five million dollars to help local election boards update voting equipment.

The request for five million dollars is part of a larger list of 26 legislative recommendations from a bipartisan election commission. The commission also recommends touch-screen computer balloting and elmination of so-called "butterfly punch ballots."
