A taxicab commission may become the latest addition to transportation improvements in the St. Louis area

A bill to establish a taxi cab commission for the St. Louis area rolled straight through committee and is headed for the State Senate. Erin Guyer has more from Jefferson City.

It may not get any easier to catch a taxi cab in St. Louis...but a bill sponsored by Senator David Klarich from Clayton may make dealing with taxi cabs easier. Senator Klarich's bill establishes a taxi cab commission for the entire metro area that will help make rates and quality more consistent. Klarich says the bill will benefit both St. Louisans and tourists.

Consistent rates and better quality are the driving forces behind a bill aimed at establishing a taxicab commission for the St. Louis area.
