Governor's Mansion to be lit for breast cancer awareness

The Missouri Governor's Mansion will be lit through Sunday as part of a national campaign to raise breast cancer awareness.

First Lady Lori Hauser Holden and Governor Bob Holden lit the governor's mansion in pink as part of a program to raise breast cancer awareness throughout the world by illuminating landmarks.

Last year the capitol building was lit, but Holden's spokeswoman Chris Kelley says the first Lady decided to light the mansion this year instead of the capitol building.

The first lady also put together a seminar to help women gain more knowledge of breast cancer.

The first lady says she hopes this seminar along with the lighting of the mansion will help women to know to take care of themselves for their own welfare and for the sake of their families.
