Conservation department is investigating allegations that Talent has been fishing without a license

The Department of Conservation is planning to investigate the allegations that Senate hopeful Jim Talent has been fishing without a license.

A spokesman for the Department of Conservation says Talent's case will be investigated like any other case.

The maximum penalty for fishing without a license is $1,000 fine or up to one year in jail.

Mike Kelley, the director of the State Democratic Party, says this violation is a part of a series of laws Talent continues to break.
