Nishi Gupta reports.

Dolan says an inspector general would help MODOT regain credibility with the public. He says he just wants moderate reform.

OutCue: "policy analysis"

Contents: "That's all we mean to do here. We're not calling for 50 audits and a expose. We're calling for solid policy analysis."

But, opponents of the proposal say it would take power away from the highway commission which is the bi-partisan body currently responsible for overseeing MODOT.
