The general revenue collections fell a little over four percent this past month in Missouri. This is a change because in July, August and September general revenue collections had increased.

Linda Luebbering, Missouri budget director, says that even though general revenue decreased in October, general revenue collections are still up over last year.

Contents: The way to look at this is year to date we're up gross collections about 1.8 percent over last year so that's good, it's positive. The last couple of years we haven't had a lot of positive information.

Even though gross collections are up for the year, Luebbering says that withholdings probably won't be released and the governor won't make any decisions until December. From the state Capitol, I'm Christine McCarty.
