Missouri must spend more than $11 million in education grants or lose it

The federal government warns Missouri that they must spend education money or lose it. Megan Clarke has the story.

Missouri has more than 11 million dollars left over from federal education grants from 2002. The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education must allocate the money before September 30th or it will be sent back to the U.S. Treasury.

Department Director of Public Information Jim Morris says there are a variety of reasons why the money awarded in 2002 has not been spent.
