Expulsions will no longer affect drop out rates under bill passed by Senate

The Senate passed a bill to stop expelled students from affecting dropout rates of Missouri schools. Lindsay Shively has the story.

St. Louis Sen. Rita Days says it is unfair that students expelled because of violent behavior affect the school's dropout rate. Days says her ammendment will change that.

Contents: If they are expelled for that reason, then it will not count against the school district.

The ammendment was attached to an education bill which was passed by the Senate. It faces at least one more vote before becoming law. From the state Capitol, I'm Lindsay Shively.
