Sen. Ken Jacob continues fillibuster

The fillibuster over the SMSU name change continues in the Missouri Senate. Almitra Smith has the story.

For four days Sen. Ken Jacob's fillibuster has deadlocked the Missouri legislature.

The fight comes over the proposed name change of Southwest Missouri State University to Missouri State University.

Jacob warns that the change could harm MU's funding by elevating SMSU to statewide university status. He proposed an amendment to prevent it.

Contents: No additional state revenue shall follow from the moditication of the names of the institutions.
