Lawmakers and the governor have reached an agreement on an economic development proposal, which is now on its way to the governor's desk.
Missy Shelton reports.
The original Jobs Now proposal from the governor would've put the state in debt to provide local governments with funding for infrastructure projects.
But the compromise bill provides grants to local governments...and money for those grants comes from the eliminiation of three tax credit programs.
Democratic Governor Bob Holden says it's a victory.
The bill also includes funding for job training programs.
