Missouri is waiting for the governor's signature before it can offer 32 million dollars in incentives to DaimlerChrysler in an attempt to entice the company to invest in its assembly plants in Fenton.

The Missouri House gave final approval to a bill that allows the City of Fenton to use a tax credit program and encourage the company to invest 1 billion dollars in its two assembly plants.

Governor Blunt says he supports the legislation about to hit his desk.

"As a participant in the DaimlerChrysler announcement, somebody that worked very hard to ensure that DC made that investment in Missouri, I'm very supportive of the legislation. So we'll need to check just to ensure there's no technical issue or problem, but barring that, it's legislation I'm obviously supportive of."

The Hazelwood Ford plant in the St. Louis area closed in March, laying off 1400 people.
