Cold Stone Creamery developer Kevin Garrett said in the last four years they've exceeded the production of 1.5 million handrolled cones and he believes the bill would increase sales for all individual ice cream stores in the state.

But the idea doesn't just appeal to ice cream makers and kids.....16-year-old Amanda Moehlenpah also agrees with the idea.

Description: "I think it's a really good idea especially because ice cream originated here in St.Louis, I think that has a really neat historical twist to it."

The ice cream cone first debuted in St.Louis during the World's Fair in 1904.

Republican Senator John Loudon is the sponsor of the bill.

From Jefferson City, I'm Erika Navarrete.
