Robo calls, the hot topic in Missouri

Intro: Missouri's Attorney General announced Tuesday he's going after political robo-calls. But Jay Nixon is finding less than enthusiasm from within his own party.

The skepticism is being voiced by none other than the chief spokesman for Nixon's own state Democratic Party.

While not defending robo-calls, Jack Cardetti questioned whether it was that big a deal:

Description: We find that with the advent of young voters not having land lines instead having cell phones, stuff like that. That robo calls aren't as big of a factor as they have been in the past.

In Cardetti's own Democratic Party, a spokesman for the Democratic candidate for attorney general said they've used used robo-calls.

Over the last few years, efforts in the legislature to ban political robo calls have died.
