After a half day's worth of filibustering in the Senate a bill to repeal last year's one man village law received House approval.

This comes after House Speaker Rod Jetton was thought to have slipped a last minute provision in a bill last year that would allow an individual landowner to petition to become his own village.

Republican Senator Chuck Purgason says the one man village bill should never have passed.

Actuality:  PURGAS1.WAV
Run Time: 00:13
Description: It's caused a lot of turmoil in several of the areas that we represent. And we just want to put it back like it was so that those first class counties and those local communities can begin governing their own areas as they see fit.

With only six House votes against the repeal the bill is now facing Senate approval with only 2 days left in the legislative session.
