Representative Scott Lip-kee presented a bill Tuesday that could introduce a new standard Missouri license plate, reading "In God We Trust."

Since the proposal is for a new state-issued plate, the new design won't cost drivers a thing.
The proposed plate would serve as an alternative Missouri drivers could pick instead of the "blue bird" plate that was issued in 2007.

A new state issued license plate was proposed in a House Transportation Committee Hearing Tuesday.
The plate would display the phrase "In God We Trust."
The new plate was the center of a bill presented by Republican Representative Scott Lipke.
Democratic Representative Tim Meadows says the proposed plate will excite Missouri drivers.

The plate will not cost any more than a standard license plate.
