A committee continues to work on a proposal for higher education funding in Missouri
Wrap: A joint legislative committee began working on a model for funding higher education in Missouri.
Work will have to be done during the session in order to make the college funding formula official.
Chairman David Pierce says the committee will use ideas from other states, as well as new ideas to create an education model that fits the needs of Missouri.
|Description: "Every state does it differently, so there's no one state we can look to and say that's what we want so we are in many ways creating our own plans baased on the past and where we want to go."|
The committee has until Dec. 31 2012 to submit questions and comments about the proposal.
