Wrap: The Commerce, Consumer Protection, Energy and the Environment Committee heard testimony Tuesday from victims of last year's Missouri River flood.

Clerks from Holt County, Stoddard County and Atchison County expressed concern regarding immediate assistance by the state after flood damage.

The Emergency Operation Director for Stoddard County, Kent Polsgrove, says the state's response for the tragedy can be improved.

Holt County Clerk Kathy Kunkel says her county suffers from flooding almost every year, and now want to take action and find a solution.
