October Missouri Jobs Report Shows MO Unemployment Still Below National Average

October job reports show Missouri's unemployment rate is still below the national average.

Wrap: The Missouri Department of Economic Development annnounced Missouri is one full percentage point below the national unemployment average.

Spokesman for the department John Fougere says payrolls added 13,000 new jobs for the month of October.

Description: "And our unemployment rate remained unchanged at 6.9 percent, which means that our unemployment rate has now been lower than the national unemployment rate for 38 straight months."

Fougere also says Missouri's labor force grew by nearly 12,000 people this past month.

He says there were 13,000 new jobs created this past month alone.
