Wrap: Resolution sponsor Republican David Pearce of Warrensburg says the pipeline would help boost America's economy.

Actuality:  PEARCEK1.WAV
Run Time:  00:09
Description: "It's been estimated that it would create up to 10,000 jobs, and so, it would be a tremendous shot in the arm just for having those jobs."

The sole no vote came from Democratic St. Louis County Senator Maria Chapelle-Nadal.

She says the pipeline may have severe environmental consequences.

Actuality:  CHAP8.WAV
Run Time:  00:15
Description: "If there was an earthquake, or some other natural disaster, and there was a break in the line, it can cause pollution and all sorts of other things, to the ground water, and I am not willing to take that risk."

The resolution claims the pipeline ensures U.S. oil independence and reduces gas prices.
