Wrap: Acting unanimously, the Democrats walked out of Wednesday’s discussion, arguing the committee's report did not represent the testimonies heard in previous meetings.

Senator Joe Keaveny from St. Louis says the plan was too "short-sided" for excluding the governor's call to expand Medicaid eligibity.

Actuality:  KEAVS.WAV
Run Time:  00:18
Description: When I agreed to serve on this committee I thought that we were going to be focused on the big picture, on the elephant in the room, on the expansion of Medicaid and that's not something that we need to spend 15 minutes at the end of a 2 hour meeting to talk about.

The committe's final report is due to Senate leader Republican Tom Dempsey on December 15.

Wrap: After 5 meetings to revise Missouri's health care system, Democratic senators pleaded with the panel to add reccomendations to their plan which they say reflect the majority opinion of those who testified at the hearings.

Republican Senator Wayne Wallingford says he recognizes their request, but doesn't want it to be part of the official report.

Description: To me including this is more or less a footnote as you can read the report you can refer and see that there were other opinions expressed and they're not really addressed in the report but our collegues wanted them to be.
