Wrap: Jackson County Republican Representative Joel Torpey is sponsoring a Medicaid bill that would require people receiving the service to provide proof of their work status.

His expansion plan relies on the passage of the workforce participation provision.

Attorney Joel Ferber said this could kill the bill because the federal government has to sign off on all Medicaid reorganization.
