Embarrassing picture of voter tweeted from Gov. Nixon's Twitter account

JEFFERSON CITY - On election day, Gov. Jay Nixon went to the voting booth to cast his ballot and it was well documented on Twitter with a picture showing a woman's behind.

Missouri's governor was under the national microscope on election day when his staff released a photo of him voting next to a woman with an exposed part of her behind.

The photo, which appeared on Jay Nixon's Twitter account, was deleted within 15 minutes of its posting. But that was not fast enough to stop the photo of the uncovered crack going viral on the Internet. A new picture was chosen to be tagged with the same encouraging message to citizens to get out and vote.

There has been no word from the governor's office as to who on Nixon's staff took the picture or if any apology has been made to the woman.
