Wrap: House Budget Committee Chairman Tom Flanigan gave no commitment on when a vote will take place on a bill that would keep Missouri from falling further into debt.

The bill would prohibit Governor Jay Nixon from paying for a new St. Louis football stadium without legislative or voter approval.

Republican Senator Rob Schaaf says he opposes using bonds to pay for a new Rams stadium.

Wrap: House Budget Committee Chairman Tom Flanigan gave no commitment whether there will be a vote on legislation banning Governor Nixon from using bonds to pay for a Rams stadium.

Republican Senator Rob Schaaf says if the bill isn't passed, they will not pay for the bonds.

Description: "My concern is that the people of Missouri won't be on the hook for paying for bonds that we didn't ask for. We are the legislature that represents the people. If they go and issue bonds, just don't expect us to pay for them."
