Missouri's House voted to expand a proposed lobbyist gift ban to cover all local Missouri officials.
Wrap: Every elected position in the state of Missouri would not be able to accept gifts from registered lobbyists, under an amendment approved by Missouri's House.
The bill's sponsor -- Gasconade Republican Rep. Justin Alferman -- agreed with the amendment.
|Description: "Because if we are going to be living under those standards, all elected officials ought to be living under those standards."|
The bill now faces one final House vote before going to the Senate.
