2011 Bill(s)

* SS HCS HB 163
Sponsor: Fisher, Barney
Status: GOVERNOR SIGNED
Description: Change the Unemployment Compensation law coverage provisions so Missouri can be eligible for extension of the federal unemployment compensation coverage. HA 1 repeals the 10-year limit on the time period for bonds that can be issued to finance years when the fund does not have money to pay unemployment claims. SS cuts six weeks from benefits from 26 to 20 weeks of state funded support.
See:
  • House roll call - SS HCS HB 163 (04/12/2011): 3rd reading of a bill to authorize expending federal funds for an extra 20 weeks of unemployment compensation for long-term unemployed.

  • Note: The descriptions of bills, amendments and roll-call votes are written by MDN journalists. MDN's database may not include committee assignments of bills made on the last day of the session since it is too late for the committee to act on the bill and, thus, the delayed assignment has no practical effect.
