Description: Require health insurance cover, the same services as Medicaid. HA 2 would extend for one year a mechanism that generates more than $2 billion in federal funds for Medicaid. The Senate rejected the change and requested a H conference (which the House did not take up on the last day of the session). The SS limits the bill to cover hearing aids for children. HA 2 extends the termination date of a mechanism by which the state imposes a tax on health care providers to get a higher Medicaid federal payment which then is returned back to the providers.
