Even Bob Dole acknowledged the Vice-Presidential debate resembled a Fraternity picnic more than a meeting of the minds.
But House Speaker Newt Gingrich took a more agressive approach in a mid-Missouri visit.
K-B-I-A's David Freitas was there.
With a cheering crowd yelling we love Newt, Gingrich did not share the same sentiment for the president in a Jefferson City fund raiser.
While Gingrich echoed many Dole campaign themes, he did what Dole has not done... attack the President by focusing on the latest scandle... a series of accusations that suggest Clinton took foreign campaign donations.
Gingrich in particular railed against the President's drug policy.
Gingrich said he is not worried about Republicans losing control of the House this November.

K-B-I-A's David Freitas reports.
While Bob Dole has avoided personal attacks against rival Bill Clinton, House Speaker Newt Gingrich took a quite different approach at a campaign fund raiser in Jefferson City.
Gingrich spent much of his speech talking about accusations that a forieng busuness man has illegaly donated to the Clinton campaign.
Gingrich says the presidential race still has not been decided... and the predictions about a winner at this point are unreliable.
