Debate begins over lobbyists' gifts to law makers

The Senate has begun what could be a long debate over lobbyists wining and dining law makers.

Beth Bentley has the story from Jefferson City.

Bill Sponsor Joe Maxwell says he wants to put an end to lobbyists wining and dining law makers.

His bill would ban legislators from accepting lobbyist gifts of over one-hundred dollars:

The Senate is also debating an amendment that would effectively gut the bill.
