Sales tax cut passes house

State Capital Bureau The House passed a bill that would mean one of the largest tax cuts in Missouri history today.

Liz Zack has the story from Jefferson City.

OutCue: SOC In a vote of 144 to 0 the house passed a bill that would eliminate the 3% sales tax on groceries.

The bill that moved swiftly through committee also moved quickly through the house due largely to its bipartisan support.

The bill's sponsor, house majority leader Steve Gaw notes the bill's unique role.
