Northwest Missouri House Member Phil Tate says he's made no decisions -- and will not make a hasty decision concerning any resignation.

But, he said, he does consider his mistake serious enough that it might warrant resignation:

Tate fully admitted his guilt to drunken driving -- saying he will plead guilty.

In the past, lawmakers have avoided reporters like the plague after being arrested for drunken driving.

But not northwest House member Phil Tate.

On his first day back in his Capitol office since his weekend arrest, Tate called in reporters to answer questions...and to admit his guilt:

Tate says he's considering stepping down from his House seat, but that he'll not make a hasty decision.
