Missouri legislators cheered as they passed the state's largest tax cut ever. Susan Batt reports how the grocery tax received bi-partisan support.
In the closing hours of this session, Missouri's Democrats and Republicans unanimously approved a three-cent grocery sales tax cut.
The bill refunds surplus state money to taxpayers as required by the state's constitution.
Although legislators argued about what to cut and how much to cut it, even House Republican leader Delbert Scott endorsed the idea.
You will see your grocery bill decrease on October 1.
In Jefferson City, I'm Susan Batt.
