A Missouri Representative gives strong testimony in favor of a bill that raises taxes in order to implement a universal health care plan. Tammara Porter has more on that story from Jefferson City.
Representative Rita Day sponsored the bill that entitles all Missourians to health care.
She says the bill puts medical decisions back into the hands of the patients and their doctors, instead of insurance companies.
She says that means health care for everyone.
If passed, the bill would raise citizens' taxes and create a publicly-financed health insurance program. From the state capital, I'm Tammara Porter.
