Three MOHELA board members have resigned in the last three days; the latest resignation announcement came on Tuesday.
With a vote on the Lewis and Clark Discovery Initiative scheduled for September 27th, House Democrat Clint Zweifel of Florissant, says these resignations warrant a hault in the process so that the new members the governor appoints will have time to catch up with the latest changes to the plan.

According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, MOHELA's board chairwoman says she is willing to reschedule the vote in order to give the governor more time to make appointments.

The latest, James Ricks, is an employee of Southeast Missouri State University and had been advised by a MOHELA attorney not to vote because the university would benefit from the plan.
The governor's Chief of Staff, Ed Martin, says Blunt's office is willing to accept the delay.
