Missouri not getting involved in FDA's E. coli investigation

Intro: The FDA has now identified cases of E. coli in several states, but Missouri is not getting involved in the investigation. Robbie Fisher has more from Jefferson City.

Despite a double-digit number of states now reporting cases of E. coli caused by bagged spinach, Missouri health officials have left it to the FDA to deal with the problem.

A Missouri Health Department spokesman says Missouri has had no cases of E. coli reported so far.

Brian Quinn says the state department is leaving it up to the FDA for now.

Description: Spokesman Brian Quinn says the FDA is dealing with the E. coli outbreak on a national level, but, Missouri, with no cases reported yet, has not gotten involved.

The FDA released a contamination warning blaming raw, packaged spinach for the batch of E. coli cases across the country including much of the Midwest.
