A bill that would legalize midwifery has been delayed as liability issues come to the forefront.
The Majority floor leader Charlie Shields contends the bill would put hospitals at a greater risk of being sued.

Shields postponed his amendment that would provide more protection for the hospital industry. Shields also works St. Joseph hospital.
