The Missouri State Highway Patrol and Governor Jay Nixon's office each refused to comment on whether or not the authors of a controversial law enforcement report are still employed by the state.
A February report issued by the Missouri Information Analysis Center, which is run by the highway patrol, contains claims that third party political supporters are members of anti-US Government militias.
The state's Public Safety Director John Britt said there will be more oversight into how reports are compiled and Governor Nixon agreed.
Lieutenant Governor Peter Kinder said that's not enough and called on the governor to force Britt to take administrative leave until an investigation of the report is complete.
