Description: I talked to one of the leaders this morning and gave them some of the concerns that I have and they understand that they are playing with a loaded stick of dynamite so the pressure's on them to come up with a solution.

The bill, which will cost the state more than 130 million dollars, is in response to Governor Jay Nixon's request to create jobs in Missouri.

Nixon's goal is to have the legislation on his desk by the middle of March.

Jobs Committee Chairman, Republican Senator John Griesheimer said the bill could die in the Senate if a compromise is not reached.

Senate Bill 45 supports job creation and research in Misosuri.

Griesheimer said the bill will also face opposition because of the amendments added in today's committee hearing, only one of which carried strong support from the committee.

Senate Jobs Committee Chairman, Republican Senator John Griesheimer said senators are looking for tax credit reform before they pass a bill supporting jobs and research.

In Wednesday's committee hearing, two amendments were added to the bill.

Griesheimer said the amendments will only slow down the process.

Description: You got to come up with a concrete idea rather than just stall, stall, stall, and you know we're going to be several weeks down the road and the Governor doesn't have a bill on his desk and we're not moving forward trying to fix some of the problems the state has right now.

While the bill carries more than 130 million dollars in expenses, Griesheimer said the return in tax dollars from employed Missourians is worth the cost.
