Wrap: The Senate Agriculture Committee heard testimony about why methane should be added to the list of renewable energy sources in Proposition C.

The bill would add "methane from livestock production" to Missouri's portfolio of renewable energy sources.

Bill sponsor Senator Frank Barnitz, a Lake Springs Democrat, says the change would help Missouri reach its goal of increased renewable energy use.

Actuality:  BARNITZ.WAV
Run Time:  00:07
Description: "Missouri does not have a large enough portfolio right now of the renewable sources. This just adds another one to the toolbelt."

The committee said they didn't know why methane wasn't included in the first place.
