Tax credit task force aims to set aside bias for a better result

Wrap: There's no hiding that everyone on the task force has a bias as to which tax credits to cut or change.

But Co-chair, Republican Senator Chuck Gross, said that the biases are a good thing.

Gross hopes the task force members will be able to check each other on their biases to make a more well-rounded report.

The task force will hold a series of five public meetings to also gage public opinion.

Gross said part of making the credits better is having people from different interest groups present on the task force.
 
He says working closely with the legislature is key, so that the recomendations from the task force are heard before lobbist interests bias the assembly.
 
Governor Jay Nixon says he would like the task force's report by Thanksgiving.
