Head Coordinator of Wreaths Across America Joe Smith says in the past four years this has been the most successful, in St. James in particular.
Jan and Art Compton raised the money for the St. James cemetery. Jan Compton says her and her husband started collecting in September, and collected enough for more than 750 wreaths.

Another reason for the high success came from individual efforts from Jan and Art Compton.
The couple raised an estimated $8,000 for the St. James cemetery.
The ceremony was kept to a brief 15 minutes, the Governor's office refused to take any questions following.
