August economic survey suggests slow to no growth in Missouri

An economic survey reveals Missouri is approaching zero in its economic growth rate.

Wrap:The survey gives a score ranging from zero to 100 to the overall performance of each state to indicate growth and decline in its economy.

Creighton University economics professor Ernie Goss oversees the survey and says Missouri dipped 1 percent.

Although the survey's score show little growth, some businesses in Missouri are still surviving.

Goss says the survey from Institute for Supply Management may help supply managers in about 700 companies make better adjustments to their company strategies, by gauging its level of growth or decline.
