Wrap:
MU Athletic Director Mike Alden announced Thursday football coach Gary Pinkel would sit out this Saturday's game and face fines of around 300 thousand dollars.
Alden says he is disappointed in Pinkel's actions.
"This goes against everything we stand for and everything he teaches his players in regards to social responsibilities."
Alden says the department dealt with Pinkel's arrest in a different way than players arrests because it is a different situation.
"I think the issues we try to deal with, we don't deal with them with a cookie cutter approach, and I think those issues we talked about and dealt with a year and a half ago are different than what we're talking about now."
This comes after Boone County Sheriffs arrested Pinkel for driving while intoxicated Wednesday night.
