Wrap: The Coalition for Missouri's future urged voters to vote against eliminating the state's income tax.

The current income tax would be replaced with a broad based sales tax.

Jim Moody of the Coalition for Missouri's Future says this tax is an everything tax.

Actuality:  INCTX1.WAV
Run Time:  00:07
Description: "If it's the kinds of things Missouri families depend on and have to budget for when they're planning out their budget like we all do, it's taxed."

Let Voters Decide President Travis Brown says other states have already eliminated personal income tax and experienced growth due to this change.

With voter approval this tax change would ammend the state's constitution.

Wrap: The Coalition for Missouri's future says they want to stop a group from ammending the state's Constitution.

Jim Moody of the Coalition for Missouri's Future says he does not think replacing state income tax with higher sales tax is the right plan.

Actuality:  INCTX2.WAV
Run Time:  00:10
Description: "It's a very bipolar tax plan when you think about how we're trying to simplify it, but yet we're putting all of these exemptions into the Constitution."

Let Voters Decide President Travis Brown says the new sales tax plan would have less exemptions than the current tax.

If the group gets enough signatures on the petition, it will be on the ballot next year.
