Governor signs executive order to expedite tornado cleanup.

Governor Nixon has issued an executive order to would expedite tornado cleanup in St. Louis.

Wrap: Specifically, the order would allow the director of the Department of Natural Resources to relax some of the rules and regulations for debris clean up and removal.

The Governor's spokesmen Scott Holste says the tornado clean up needs to be done quickly.

Description: There are situations where you have to expedite that type of clean up, and in order to expedite that type of clean up it may require some of the rules and regulations to be waved.

 

The Governor last issued an order like this after the New Year's tornado in St. Louis.

The order will be in effect until May 23rd.
